It was an exhibition of a concept of placing artworks on chairs which viewers seat in an obscure theater. The more fresh leaves get wilting, the more lights illuminating installations get turned off. Eventually, in the dark theater, <Illuminate> doesn’t exist to viewers.

Lighting decides how the equipment recognizes the work in the exhibition.

 

It does not only function to show the object but also affects on the recognition of the work with active attitude.

 

Yu-Jin Seo tried to talk about the passion in accordance with the occupational properties, realistic circumstances and the anger on the environments encountered by individuals. The stance and the meaning of the lighting that shed light on the object varies in accordance with the object, but the attitude intervening on the process of recognition of work by viewers is identical. The ones doing the job receiving the lighting were the objects of the works. They have the looks which are realistically seen to us and the ‘behind looks’ which cannot be seen to us even with efforts. The attitude of understanding the subject and recognizing the inner appearance is quite difficult and reckless, and the passive perspective believes that the appearance that is seen to the eyes is true and all. She expressed the worries and anger on one's relation and employment in sounds. Understanding this person through the audible audio and visible picture of the behind looks is impossible. It is misunderstanding that one understands the person. It is impossible to understand and even to recognize the person. The ‘frustration’ and ‘Failing to understand’ which she repeatedly mentions are between the work and the viewers.

The relationship, worries and rage on the employment are contained in sounds.

Understanding the person through an audible audio and visible picture of the behind looks is impossible.

Misunderstanding on the understanding is impossible while the recognition itself is impossible.

The ‘stuffiness’ and ‘Failing to understand’ which he continuously mentions like a habit are between the work and the viewers.
